Kinder Morgan is poised to start a key phase of construction on a pipeline and tanker project that would put hundreds of rivers and streams at risk of oil spills -- but a powerful movement is rising up to defend the land, water, and climate.
On March 23rd, people across the North America will take to the streets for a National Day of Action to Defend the Water. We’ll gather outside our local Chase branch and with the power from the frontlines of resistance, we’ll demand that Chase stop promoting these morbid projects.
Greenpeace will be acting in solidarity with the communities resisting this pipeline by promoting #DefendtheWater #ProtectthePacific #StopKM on social media and engaging with our supporters and networks on the dangers of the Kinder Morgan Pipeline.
We will be meeting in front of Chase Bank in Pacific Beach on Wednesday March 21st and posting our images to social media on Friday the 23rd.
