Hi there DC folks,
Earth Day is two weeks away, and you are cordially invited to the Anacostia Watershed Society's Earth Day cleanup! A local watershed group, Pope Branch Park Restoration Alliance, has kindly accepted that we conduct a Greenpeace brand audit at the Twining/Dupont site to record the corporate plastic polluters washing up in DC's waterways. Hurray!!!
When: Saturday, April 21
Time: 9 am - 12 pm
Where: Pope Branch Park, located at 2900 M Place, SE (1 block off of Minnesota Avenue, SE and at the 2900 block of Fairlawn Avenue, SE). Ample non-metered street parking.
Why: Because this will help Greenpeace's plastics campaign! And because volunteers will celebrate their hard work with discounts at different restaurants around the city after :)
How: Click here, and select Twining/Dupont Park for "preferred volunteer location". This site has capacity for 150 volunteers, so bring your friends and family!
Who: You, silly!!!
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Hope folks can make it!
