Exxon shareholders are coming to Dallas. Let’s give them the welcome they deserve. When the shareholders enter the Meyerson Symphony Center next Wednesday, they will be met by throngs of protesters from the DFW area. We’ll be there to show what Exxon already knows — the age of oil is almost over — and our communities deserve a clean, renewable future. But we need you with us.

We’ll have folks stationed all around the building to make sure the shareholders see our message. With bold messages, inspiring speakers, and loud rallying cries, we can shift the spotlight on Exxon’s most public moment of the year. It’s up to the people to call out Exxon’s dirty history. Like the time it covered up climate change science for decades while funding climate denial and profiting off of fossil fuel extraction.

Exxon’s primary concern is for profits and profits alone. Instead of protecting communities and neighborhoods in Texas that are already experiencing impacts of climate change, Exxon is profiting off of increasing carbon emissions. Beyond that, Exxon is blocking progress on renewable energy in Texas — a state with some of the highest renewable potential in the country. It’s up to us to stand together in resistance against Exxon’s corporate greed and speak out for our communities.

Hope to see you there!
