It’s been 40 years since people were first urged to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Since then our plastic consumption has drastically increased, and now there is more than 5 trillion pieces of plastic in our oceans.

Recycling alone will never be enough to solve this problem- it’s time to get to the root of single use plastic pollution. Greenpeace is auditing plastic collected on waterways across the nation and using the data to call out the corporations that most contribute to ocean contamination. We must urge these corporations to invest in and experiment with more sustainable solutions than single use.

On Sunday, November 12th (insert your org.) will be linking up with Surfrider Miami & Greenpeace for a beach cleanup, audit and dune restoration! Come enjoy a few hours of fun in the sand and help us to hold accountable the corporations that are responsible for single use plastic pollution!

When: 9:00 am - Noon

Where: 7th street and Ocean Drive, Miami Beach (meet on the beach)
