Volunteering at Greenpeace office
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us and for joining this group. Greenpeace was founded by volunteers and continues to rely heavily on them in many aspects and fields of work.
Voluntary opportunities range from helping with administrative tasks, mail outs, data entry, data analysis, design and editing, research projects, assisting with events coordination, painting, sewing, carpentry, and many more. Length of opportunities can be anything from a few hours to 1 day to a year. Please note that voluntary opportunities mostly come up at very short notice.
As soon as a volunteer is needed in our office, we post an advert on Greenwire. You will receive a notification whenever a new post is added (make sure your notifications settings are set up correctly).
Voluntary opportunities in our office are between 10am-6pm Monday to Friday, our office is closed at weekends. To volunteer you must be a minimum of 18 years old and live within close travelling distance to our office. We are only able to reimburse travel expenses for those people travelling from within the Greater London area.
As we receive a high level of interest in volunteering in our office and only have limited opportunities, unfortunately it is not always possible to place everyone who applies. Also, whilst we will aim to place you according to your skills, experience and interests this is not always possible. Whether or not we are able to take up your offer of help, we genuinely value your interest in our work and appreciate your support.
If you have any questions about volunteering with Greenpeace or are anxious to do so in the near future please do give us a call.
