Our very heritage, as folks of the Shire, promotes non-violence as a means to enact change. You only have to look as far as the origins of the Quakers to know that the Midlands has strong roots in peaceful protest. This is exactly why we, one of the most diverse and multicultural cities in all of England, must come together for the good of ourselves and our planet.
The times they are a changing, as a wise man once wrote. And now more than ever we need to act. It won't be long before we're looking back at this time as a turning point. A fork in the road. Do we blindly follow the path to destruction through stubbornness and greed? Or do we work together to find a solution?
