6 - What is a key activist?

Key Activists are people in our active supporters network who perform one or more of the following voluntary roles:

  • Network Coordinator - running a local Greenpeace group or network
  • Network Activist - helping the coordinator run a local Greenpeace group or network
  • Trainers (NVDA, Street Communication Skills, Political Lobbying and Video Skills) - running training workshops regularly throughout the year
  • Greenspeakers – delivering Greenpeace presentations to different groups of people
  • Legal supporters – volunteering with the action team supporting activists on Greenpeace non violent direct actions
  • Greenwire coaches - supporting other active supporters to make the most of Greenwire to organise and promote Greenpeace activities
  • ​Project Developers – building capacity through organising skillshares and starting new networks
