Yorkshire Coast GP will be at Staxtonbury festival for the first time this year, over the weekend of 7th - 9th July.
This is Staxtonbury's 9th year and it promises to be a great weekend, providing fun and music for all the family.
It should offer the perfect venue, being close to the sea with a leisurely audience, for us to promote the current Greenpeace campaigns such as Oceans Plastics, Air Pollution and Fracking, all pertinent locally in Yorkshire.
We'll also be involved with a new campaign to raise public awareness of the Amazon Reef, where there are plans to drill for oil.
Come and join us on the stall, explore the festival and have fun! Transferable tickets and wristbands for Greenpeace volunteers means we can be flexible so you need only be there for a couple of hours, or as long as you want! Let us know your availability. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, morning, afternoon or evening! You can help by creating posters of current campaigns, street campaining, engaging the public, keeping the stall tidy and volunteers fed and watered!
If you're interested, enrol for this event and get in touch with Yorkshire Coast group members on Greenwire.
Look forward to seeing you for what should be a great weekend! Jane
