Hi Everyone, as the bees are getting busy enjoying this Spring weather, so are we as we gather tomorrow evening to discuss this months events and other activities you can be involved with further ahead this summer!

Main campaign event we'll be discussing this month is the Ocean Plastic work and how we can stem the flow of plastics into our oceans by taking on corporate interests. There's a big day of action on April 22nd, which hopefully you can pencil in, as we'll need all hands on deck so to speak!!  Another way you can help, if you've got a camera/phone, is to take good photographs of plastic waste on beaches that could be used in the campaign, we are ideally situated living by the coast after all!  Also, if anyone wishes to get involved with this campaign's strategy, there will be a conference call on Wednesday 12th April early evening, more details to come if you are interested.

Looking ahead to summer, as the sun's out, we'll be checking who would like to help with the local Staxtonbury festival stall 7th - 9th July and if you haven't applied to volunteer for Greenpeace at Glastonbury this year, there are still opportunities to volunteer at Latitude, WOMAD and Wilderness!  Applications for these festivals open on Greenwire mid-April.  If political lobbying appeals, a new dedicated person in the Outreach team will soon allow the re-launch of the Political Lobbying Network, so support will be there for us, prior to the local elections in May.  Hope you can come along tomorrow and make change happen!  See you there, Jane :)
