Local opponents of oil drilling on Leith Hill will be out in Dorking again to tell people what's happening and enlist support.
This date coincides with the final day of the Leith Hill Music Festival in nearby Dorking Halls. The Festival was set up by renowned composer Ralph Vaugham Williams who spent his childhood living on Leith Hill. As well as composing often played symphonies and the ever popular "A Lark Ascending", Vaughan Williams was an early environmentalist, and would almost certainly be appalled by what the oil industry has in mind for Leith Hill.
A special effort will be made to win support amongst Festival audience members at Dorking Halls.
