Last month, Lancashire County Council (LCC) refused Cuadrilla the right to frack in Lancashire. However, Cuadrilla have appealed this decision and there will now be a public inquiry which will either uphold or reject LCC's decision. The inquiry is to start on the 9th February, and is due to run for approximately twenty days.
We, along with all the other anti fracking groups of Lancashire, and maybe beyond, will be there to offer support to those who are giving evidence to the inquiry as to why fracking would be a bad decision for Lancashire (and anywhere else for that matter). The inquiry will be at Blackpool FC stadium, and we will be gathering thereabouts from 9am to show the people from Westminister that Lancashire does not want fracking, and to show support for the witnesses who will be putting the case for upholding Lancashires decision.
There will be speakers from 9.30am onwards, followed by a group photo at 11am.
Hope to see you there!
