Join Berkshire Greenpeace in this a National Greenpeace Day of Action to urge Supermarkets to do more to reduce their plastic footprint. Supermarket customers in the UK have had enough of the pointless plastic packaging forced on them in their weekly shop. We have seen Blue Planet & our oceans full of garbage & learned to bring our own bags while shopping & now call on supermarkets to get rid of the single use plastic they inflict on us. On Saturday 15th September, shoppers all over the country will be taking action by leaving their unwanted excess fruit and veg packaging at the till.
We will be talking to shoppers as they go into the supermarket and will be asking them to leave pointless plastic packaging at the till. Hopefully we can show the supermarkets how much pointless plastic they generate and how fed up we are about it.
We will visit Aldi in Reading , and if we get enough support we could target some others as well.. Any questions or for more information contact Jane via this page.
Do sign up to this event so we can plan numbers
