Last year Greenpeace launched a global campaign which over the next few years aims to end the flow of plastic waste into our oceans. This involves getting corporations, governments and society to radically change their view of plastic – and treat it like a valuable resource for reuse, rather than throwaway trash.
We will be making our mark on our local community by collecting litter in the South Shields beach area and nearby Park. We will have gloves, bin bags and clippy sticks available to use.
When: Sunday 15th, 11AM – 2.30PM
Where: meet South Shields metro station
What to bring: stout shoes/boots, clothes that can get dirty, weather appropriate rain/warm, food/drink, gloves (if you have them)
We will provide bags, gloves, grabber claws.
Please enrol for the event by clicking on the orange 'Enrol' button.
Hope to see you there.
