7 persons are going

We are meeting at 12.40 at the Merrion Way entrance to plan our action.  It is the entrance nearest the Arena - see on the map https://merrioncentre.co.uk/centre-map

As part of our ongoing campaign to put pressure on supermarkets to reduce their use of plastic packaging, we will be holding campaign stalls on Saturday 15  September. We’ll be encouraging shoppers to do their own bit of activism by leaving a little excess plastic packaging at the supermarket till when they have paid for the shopping, along with a Greenpeace "pointless plastic" card for the store manager.  #ShoppersRevolt.

We will hope to get some photos of customers in action to post on social media and share with local media to amplify the activity.

We've got 2 time slots you can sign up for.  The first session is at Morrisons in the Merrion Centre from 1pm to 2.30pm.  We will then take the bus up to Morrisons Kirkstall from 3pm to 4pm.  Join us for one or both activity.

Hope to see you on the 15th September.

Jayne, Alan and Andrews.
