Join Kensington Greenepeace for the February meeting, where we're going to be planning what we'll be campaigning on for Climate Week, which is from 3-9 March. We're talking to the council about finding space for us at one of their events, and possibly a film screening if a venue in the borough can be found.
Campaigns wise, we're still waiting on whatever's new, but the recent parliamentary vote bringing fracking one step closer in the UK should be focusing all of our minds right now!
Finally, the exciting news for this month is that we're in a new venue that's not a pub, so we don't have to worry about jukeboxes and finding a quiet place! We've got a space at the Earl's Court Community Trust meeting rooms, three minutes walk from Earl's Court station. The address is 1a Nevern Place and it has a big bright red front door with 1a on it, almost the first door on the left as you turn into Nevern Place (NOT Nevern Square) directly off Earl’s Court Road. If you're coming off the tube, exit on the Earl's Court side, turn left and Nevern Place is the third street on the left.
As usual, direct any questions to Vin through Greenwire and answers will be forthcoming.
