What's behind recent flight path changes? What are the problems? Hear from communities affected by airspace changes at Belfast, London City, Heathrow, and Gatwick. The way forward for communities and campaigners: what are our shared concerns and how do we influence decision making?

While the political decision about South East airport capacity has been postponed till the summer, the process of making the UK's airspace more 'efficient' has been taking place in parallel. But significant community opposition to airspace trials in 2015 has made both Government and the CAA recognise the need for a rethink, with longstanding policies favouring concentration of flightpaths and measuring community impact by way of Leq contours now being seriously examined.

This event, organised by Airportwatch and chaired by AEF, will help to identify areas of common ground, and to ensure those of us engaging with Government and regulators on the issue in 2016 can accurately reflect the views of people on the ground. The conference is free to attend, although voluntary contributions of £10pp are welcome towards the costs, and you will need to bring or buy your own lunch.
