Tawai is a word the nomadic hunter gatherers of Borneo use to describe the connection they feel to their forest home. Bruce Parry (of the BBC’s Tribe, Amazon and Arctic) embarks on a journey from the Amazon and Borneo to the River Ganges and the Isle of Skye to explore the different ways that humans relate to nature and how this influences our society.
This film screening coincides with Greenpeace’s new forests campaign about deforestation for dirty palm oil.
Donations towards the campaign would be appreciated.
The film screening marks the relaunch of the Cardiff Greenpeace group and so we'll talk a little about the relaunch and answer any questions that people have about the group or Greenpeace more generally.
If you can’t make it but are interested in hearing more about the group, you can get in touch through our Greenwire page.
Hope to see you there!
