Someone else's trash is another person's treasure!
A morning of car booting can be useful in raising funds for the group. It is good to see that the weekend Clifton Car Boot Sales are back and we have chosen the date of Sunday 28th April as a date to attend. It means we need good quality clutter from your attics, garages and cupboards. Clothes don't normally sell well but hardly worn shoes, costume jewellery and handbags are possible sellers! Please note large items are not advised - we only have so much transport room and space at the event.
The event only needs half a dozen people over the morning to help set up and run the pitch. If you have the gift of the gab or a 'Del-boy' mindset then please enrol if you can help out - it does involve a fairly early start to unpack and display items on our tables. The site is open from 7.30am but sellers are advised to be arriving at about 7.45am. Buyers are then allowed in for 9am. The event ends at 1pm but we tend to pack up slightly earlier when number of buyers trail off. In the past, we have attempted to price up some items before the sale with a guideline price which helps start with haggling.
Please message Richard Baxter on Greenwire or text on 07795 435576 if you have items to donate (away from 13th - 21st April).
Do also be aware that this event is weather dependent and we will re-arrange if weather forecast is too wet or windy! Any postponement will be posted on our Greenwire and Facebook pages - good idea to check on the morning of the event.
