Islamic Cultural Fayre In Bristol Supports The Amazon Reef

Bristol East Greenpeace has attended the Islamic Cultural Fayre for several years and once again we have received brilliant support for our current campiagn to stop BP from drilling for oil near the newly discovered reef at the mouth of the Amazon.  The event attracts over 10,000 people and our Spongebob Squarepants costume was certainly a good visual prop to gain people's attention- though on this occasion we had some competition from a young lad on the next stall who had a tee-shirt and facepaints depicting Stuart the Minion!  It was a great opportunity to campaign at an event that attracted an enthusiastic multi-cultural crowd.  The stall was run by a small but effective team that included Adam, Lisa, Loz, RichardB and Richard L.  Together we managed to get an impressive124 cards actioned including 112 signatures for the Amazon Reef petition. Well done team!
