The Outreach Team are looking for some short-term cover. We’re looking for a freelancer with experience of volunteer management to help us to manage and support Greenpeace’s active network of volunteers to deliver innovative campaigning supporting Greenpeace to win campaigns.


You will assist the team to deliver campaign and public outreach projects across the network and manage and support the Local Group Coordinators and other volunteer leaders.




We’re looking for someone who can:


Support Greenpeace’s Local Group Coordinators and volunteers across the UK, ensuring the campaign and public outreach potential of the network is maximised.


Co-ordinate and support Local Group Coordinators, communicating regularly by phone, email, digital media and face to face meetings to ensure high quality activities across the network. Ensure the effective administration of the Local Group Network.


Deliver any necessary training events, including sourcing the content and produce resources to ensure Local Group volunteers are well trained, ensuring accurate, effective and imaginative campaigning on behalf of Greenpeace.


Maintain knowledge of campaign developments within Greenpeace UK.


Support the output of Outreach projects, with the aim of supporting Local Group growth and health and raising awareness of Greenpeace’s mission, including fundraising events, raising awareness and volunteer recruitment initiatives.


Be responsible for the delivery of engaging communications to the volunteer network, this includes using digital communications channels, newsletters, webinars and presentations.


We are looking for someone with specific experience in:


  1. Campaigning via local volunteer networks
  2. Large-scale volunteer management
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  4. Experience of delivering a variety of training



We require support from mid-August until mid-December for 3 days per week.



Dependant on experience - between £120-160 per day
