7 ways to get involved in 2019!

It's January. You've made your New Year's Resolutions and you're feeling good. But how do you get started?

If you want to get more involved with Greenpeace but you're not sure where to start, here's a handy list of all the opportunities available right now. But be quick - some of the trainings only have a couple more days to apply!:

  1. Become a Greenwire Community Coach. This is primarily an online role and you will need to have a Greenwire account. You can find out more about the role and apply HERE

  2. Become a Local Media Coordinator. This role is embedded within Local Groups so you need to be a member of a Local Group to apply. Full details and application form HERE. We ran a training on 12th January but there will be further trainings coming up, so if you're interested in the role, please still apply and we'll let you know when we agree a date for the next training.

  3. Become a Local Group Coordinator in Inverness. You won't be required to start things from scratch as there are already some fantastic people in the group - all they need is a leader who has the time and skills to take the group forward. See HERE for more info.

  4. Start up a new Local Group in York. We'd like to have a group in York but we need local people to step up as Local Group Coordinators to make it happen. We'll provide lots of support but we need YOU to make it happen! See HERE for more info.

  5. Join a Local Group. We have 60 Local Groups across the UK and they all need new members to help us win campaigns. Whatever your skills, experience and how much time you have to spare, you can be sure of a warm welcome. Search for and contact groups via Greenwire or just show up to a group meeting or event to get involved or find out more.

  6. Join the Political Lobbying Network. If you'd like to make an impact on important issues by lobbying your MP or local councillors, sign up to do our online training. Full details HERE.

  7. Write a blog! Great content helps to keep people interested and we'd love to hear your stories. Tell us what motivates you - why are you passionate about the environment and what are you doing (or what do you want to do) with Greenpeace? Is there a particular issue or campaign that you really care about? No experience or training necessary - just go to the homepage or any group page, click the "Add" button, select "blog" from the list and start writing!

We look forward to welcoming you soon.
