15 cigs

T H A N K S to the London groups who have begun collecting postcards with personal messages from the public about air pollution to send to London's new mayor, Sadiq Khan. This photomontage of postcards shows some of the better messages so far.

I’m quite pleased with the postage stamp on the card that says ‘I don’t want to smoke 15 cigs a day’. The stamp shows the Queen’s father, George VI, who in 1951, following years of heavy smoking, was diagnosed with lung cancer and, on the morning of February 6, 1952, at the age of 56, was discovered dead.
