#Help Delhi Breath (17-01-2016)

Since December '15, we have been a part of a group of concerned citizens and organisations who want to take urgent action on the issue of Air Pollution. This group also has conducted public outreach and interacted closely with  certain officials from the Delhi Dialogue Commission and URJA members. (URJA is a People's Action Group which works with more than 1500 RWA's in Delhi.)

How was Greenpeace India involved?

This collective is now called #HelpDelhiBreathe and we've been a major contributor to it. We have helped steer their demands from a Delhi-only-transport-based-

demand to an ask for a regional/ national action plan, and provided regular volunteer, logistics and campaign support.
So what happened?
On January 17- a cold, foggy morning in Delhi- the group's efforts bore fruit with a highly engaged media event at Jantar Mantar.

- Almost 30 volunteers (out of the total 40) from GP participated and helped out with the activity.
- Sunil was a spokesperson in the event, along with other experts including activists and Anumita Chowdhary from CSE.

- There was celeb power: Shilpa Rao, Delhi Indie, Astitva, stand-up comedians and Slam Poets helped in making the event very positive and engaging.
