The flow of plastics into our environment has reached a crisis level. Canada alone generates 3.25 Million tonnes of waste plastic a year. Much of this ends up in the sea, adding to the more than 5 trillion plastic objects already there, where it kills fish, birds, turtles, seals, and whales in huge but largely unknown numbers.
In order to try and help tackle this issue, the Greenpeace Ottawa local group has organized a special plastic activity! We'd love it if you'd join us!
