Application due: October 21st!

Have you wanted to get involved in campaigns that pressure governments and corporations to be more accountable? Have you been active in grassroots movements to create social and environmental justice?

Greenpeace is hosting a three-day action camp in the Vancouver area.

We are looking for creative resistance minded people who are interested in taking action to defend the land air and water through direct action. This long weekend training will have tracks in Arts, Blockades, and Climbing. We want to build a strong team, so we want you to attend for all four days, and be the type of person that is willing to work carefully with others, who believe in social justice and is willing to take risks to challenge government and corporate power.

This is an application for the Greenpeace Vancouver Direct Action training, located in Burnaby the weekend of November 9,10th, 11th, and 12th. We are committed to organizing for social and environmental justice and want to bring action and justice-focused people together to build skills, build community, and build collective power. We are asking you to tell us a bit more about yourself so that we can have a beautiful mix of folks in the room together! Please apply by October 21st.

We have limited space so please commit to the whole weekend, or be clear about what times you can and cannot commit to. This is a training for Greenpeace style direct action.

We will be asking participants to spend the night on location in Burnaby (accessible by public transit) for team building and planning purposes. We will follow-up with participants with an information package including exact location and what to bring.

We will cover food and childcare, and have a mostly physically accessible space (one section is upstairs, but we will work with folks with any issues with stairs or other accessibility issues on a case by case basis.)

Hope you will join us!
