Greenpeace organises regular opportunities for active supporters to gain new skills including.
- Non-violent direct action training (NVDA) – a two to three day workshop for people who are available during the week or weekend and willing to take certain risks for Greenpeace. Run by the offline engagement team 1-2 times a year, for local networks across the country.
- Regional skillshares – exchanging skills and experiences depending on the needs of a network or area.
- Blogging, online organising and community management skills – these workshops usually take place at regional skillshares
- Climbing training programs are available for longer term Greenpeace volunteers.
