07. What Training is Available?

Greenpeace organises regular opportunities for active supporters to gain new skills including.

  • Non-violent direct action training (NVDA) – a two to three day workshop for people who are available during the week  or weekend and willing to take certain risks for Greenpeace. Run by the offline engagement team 1-2 times a year, for local networks across the country.
  • Regional skillshares – exchanging skills and experiences depending on the needs of a network or area.
  • Blogging, online organising and community management skills – these workshops usually take place at regional skillshares
  • Climbing training programs are available for longer term Greenpeace volunteers.
