(On Wednesday, 17th Feb 2016, we made history by naming our first ever honorary member. As our way of saying thank you and to show our gratitude for all his help and support, we as the Greenpeace Durban local group facilitators awarded Frank Edwards, who we have dubbed 'Captain Franktastic' with honorary membership.  Frank has been so supportive in whatever we do, be it a protest action, workshop, etc. His space is always open and he is always willing to go out of his way for us. Plus is only to willing to share his wealth of knowledge & experience. We honour and recognise the commitment demonstrated by 'Captain Franktastic' towards the programs, activities, and values of the Greenpeace local group: Durban - Values that are reflected in all Greenpeace environmental work, worldwide.)

*Meeting Space:
Greenpeace local group Durban’s main meeting space of 2017 was Frank Edwards aka Captain Franktastic's Permaculture Guerilla Garden. During the year we held 5 core team and local group meetings at Captain Franktastic's.  In addition to having 2 volunteer induction events and several photo ops that took place there as well, including the Resolute photo op and group photo ops.
